Wrinkle cream

Antioxidants have long been known as the magic bullet for skincare. With antioxidants, you can kill off harmful free radicals and other bacteria as well as things that may cause premature aging! Antioxidants provide an all natural approach to skincare, and with so many different sources, most can actually find something that will not commonly speaking cause many side effects. They say that antioxidants have superpowers, and they focus on ingredients like green tea and reservatrol. But once you get past the hype, the question is, do antioxidants actually work?

Antioxidants are high in certain benefits. By killing off harmful free radicals, they can actually brighten the skin while also helping you to prevent damage that may well end up causing premature aging. With certain antioxidants, you get better benefits than others. Green tea for one has been especially popular in many different wrinkle creams, acne treatments, and other skin moisturizers. It has been known to effectively help you to maintain moisture in the skin, and some even suggest drinking more of it per day for both weight loss and your skin.

However there are others like reservatrol. Yes, there are many purported benefits of reservatrol. But realistically speaking, the fact is that your body cannot properly absorb or process reservatrol. For whatever reason, reservatrol actually passes through the body too fast to be absorbed, and therefore it really cannot actually benefit you. So obviously, while there are plenty of wrinkle and aging products out there that rave about the benefits of reservatrol, it doesn’t always come through.

But one major thing that we note with antioxidants is something that applies to all antioxidants. They do not promote the growth of collagen or elastin in the skin! To prevent wrinkling and premature aging is one thing. That’s really highly simple. But to fight damage that has already been done is more specific. And when it comes right down to it, you cannot fight wrinkles without collagen and elastin. So obviously, if you want to actually reduce wrinkles, antioxidants will not do the job.
